Key Responsibilities
  • Draft a diverse range of substantial written materials and communications related to the office's programs, including investigative and operational reports.
  • Compile case files for Special Agents and Investigators, ensuring files are organized, updated, and disposed of according to established policies.
  • Oversee the ordering, tracking, and inventory of office supplies, furniture, equipment, software, and maintenance agreements.
  • Engage in meetings and deliver briefings on analytical insights and suggestions.
  • Create and sustain reports as necessary.
Employment Conditions

Qualifications

GS-07: Candidates must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience should include:

Providing administrative assistance, including support for personnel with data management, records oversight, and travel coordination.

Experience in preparing briefings and reports (e.g., project summaries, staff documents, manuals, and directives) to gather information and formulate clear recommendations both verbally and in writing.

Proficiency in utilizing specialized software (such as enterprise systems) for various management and program analysis tasks.

GS-05: Candidates must show at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience should include:

Experience in tracking records and referrals, ensuring timely processing of work. Utilizing automated software systems to generate reports, briefings, and administrative materials.

Experience may include paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles through National Service programs, which can enhance critical competencies and skills relevant to paid employment.

Education Requirements

GS-05: Completion of a four-year degree program.

GS-07: One full year of graduate-level education or superior academic achievement.

Additional Information

This position is part of the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
