Job Title: Governance Expert

Job Summary:

Main Sail LLC is seeking a highly skilled Governance Expert to support the Department of the Navy Financial Management Transformation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in governance and requirements management, with a strong understanding of financial management systems, policies, and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and Implement Governance Activities: Support the establishment, implementation, and sustainment of governance activities related to financial management systems, policies, and data, including support to OASN (FM&C) leadership in gaining transparency, visibility, and improving communication.
  • Utilize Advana/Jupiter: Support the utilization of Advana/Jupiter as the single source of truth to increase transparency and proactively manage the DON's budget execution.
  • Implement Standardized Data Structures: Support the implementation of standardized data structures and data governance that aligns with Treasury standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Requires one of the following levels of experience supporting or sustaining governance activities related to financial management systems, policies, or data:
    • Level I: 1 year of experience and a Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree)
    • Level II: 3 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree)
    • Level III: 6 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree)
    • Level IV: 9 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Advana Data Platform Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience with the DoD's Advana data platform is a must. Experience with the Navy's enclave (Jupiter) is a plus.
  • U.S. Treasury Data Governance: Familiarity with U.S. Treasury data governance and data standards
  • Communication and Collaboration: Ability to work independently and communicate/collaborate effectively.
  • Navy ERP and/or DAI Financial Modules: Familiarity with Navy ERP and/or DAI financial modules is highly desirable.

Place of Performance: Primarily National Capital Region (within 50 miles of the Pentagon) with occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS DON support installations.
