**The Role**

We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Lead to join our team and lead data governance initiatives for a government client. The successful candidate will drive transformation, ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, and enhance data quality.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead cross-functional data governance teams and strategies to influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across complex data landscapes.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.
  • Drive data governance transformation efforts, fostering a culture of data stewardship.
  • Oversee data quality assessments, develop remediation strategies, and conduct governance maturity assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align data governance efforts with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and report on the success of data governance initiatives through key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide guidance on data management, data quality, and metadata management practices.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role.
  • Proven ability to lead data governance projects and work with complex data systems.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills to influence stakeholders.

**Preferred Certifications**

  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
