Financial Project Specialist

Little, recognized nationally for its innovative approach and esteemed as a top workplace, is in search of a Project Accountant who thrives in a collaborative environment. This role is integral to our operations and can be based in our Charlotte, NC office.

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various studios across the firm. They will collaborate closely with our leadership team and Project Managers, engaging in all facets of project accounting alongside the Finance and Accounting team.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and inquisitive professional capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic setting. They should possess strong organizational skills, exceptional communication abilities, a positive demeanor, and a passion for teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project billing processes
  • Manage project maintenance, including setup, budgeting, and ongoing project management within the accounting system
  • Handle accounts receivable collections
  • Assist in revenue recognition, forecasting, and project analysis
  • Provide training for Project Managers
  • Utilize expertise to support Project Managers in informed decision-making
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required
  • Two to five years of relevant accounting experience is preferred
  • Experience in an Architecture, Engineering, or Interior Design firm is advantageous
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe, and accounting software (experience with industry-specific software such as BST, Deltek, Timberline is highly desirable)
