About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receiving and Inventory Coordinator to join our team at MCR Hotels. As a key member of our purchasing and logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt and storage of merchandise, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Processing Deliveries
    • Receive all deliveries and verify the condition of items received to ensure they meet quality standards.
    • Compare items received to requisitions and refuse over shipments.
    • Fill out requests for credit immediately when the weight or count is less than invoiced, and obtain the driver's signature as acceptance.
  • Inventory Management
    • Store all items promptly upon receipt and verification.
    • Take weekly inventory of storeroom and office supplies.
  • Purchasing and Logistics
    • Order supplies according to business levels.
    • Issue and deliver supplies to various departments with signed requisitions only.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Inform the purchasing manager of consistently late shipments and unexpected shortages or overages.
    • Keep the supervisor abreast of any changes in delivery schedules or delayed deliveries.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum formal education of a high school diploma is required.
    • 6 months of job-related experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
    • Proficiency in oral and written communication skills in English.
    • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Physical Demands
    • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work the majority of the shift on feet.
    • Frequently required to talk or hear.
