Position Overview

The role of the Senior Educational Leader is pivotal in enhancing the capabilities of educators and refining the educational programs within a school or network of schools. This position requires a high level of expertise in classroom instruction and a commitment to leadership and management responsibilities aligned with the designated salary range.

Key Responsibilities

Senior Educational Leaders are tasked with the coordination of staff efforts to foster improvements in teaching and learning. This may involve:

  • Driving the execution of comprehensive school improvement initiatives that align with the strategic objectives of the institution.
  • Overseeing the development and delivery of curriculum planning and instructional strategies.
  • Facilitating professional development opportunities and crafting individual and team growth plans for teaching personnel.
  • Managing staff performance evaluations and development processes.
  • Conducting demonstration lessons to model effective teaching practices.
  • Leading the formulation of assessment and reporting policies.
  • Administering school operations and policies concerning student welfare and discipline.
  • Contributing to curriculum development in major learning areas while participating in broader curriculum initiatives.
  • Addressing general discipline matters that extend beyond the scope of classroom management.
  • Engaging in the overall leadership and governance of the school.
  • Participating in the creation of proposals for school council review.
  • Establishing and managing the school’s code of conduct.
