Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Project Specialist to join our team at the National Adoption Association. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative and programmatic support to our AdoptUSKids project, working closely with our leadership team, child welfare agencies, and partners to improve the child welfare system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Coordination: Develop and monitor event workplans and logistics, including virtual and in-person events, and provide technical support for webinars.
  • Communication: Maintain cross-collaborative communication and partnerships within the AdoptUSKids project, and meet regularly with the National Campaign Director to provide support and co-manage the speaker's bureau, National Adoption Month, and Adoption Excellence Awards.
  • Data Coordination: Assist with data compilation, data validation, and data maintenance, and provide support to the National Child Welfare Information Exchange team.
  • Quality Assurance: Gather, review, and provide quality assurance regarding data collection throughout the project, and assist with quality assurance for the project using Airtable as the data management tool.
  • Administrative Support: Provide regular assistance to the National Campaign and National Child Welfare Information Exchange teams, and support special projects and communications from partner teams as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service and support to prospective and current foster and adoptive families, and young adults with lived experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of related high-level administrative experience.
  • Prior non-profit or child welfare experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Benefits and Compensation:

The Project Specialist salary range is $55,000 - $60,000, commensurate with experience. As a member of our team, you will receive a competitive salary, a generous benefits package, and professional development opportunities.
