Role Summary:

The Account Manager will oversee and drive the sales and profitability of Greenworks products. This role involves crafting a strategic vision for the account and collaborating closely with key internal teams to align on strategy and direction. Building robust relationships with senior merchants, buyers, and their teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aimed at fostering sales and profit growth.
  • Manage account profitability by analyzing each business segment to meet sales and profit objectives.
  • Engage in New Product Development teams as necessary.
  • Forecast customer product requirements monthly through demand forecasting, actively participating in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings.
  • Oversee the overall business management, including the handling of excess finished goods and inventory flow.
  • Establish and nurture direct relationships with account decision-makers, facilitating interactions between senior management of both companies.
  • Represent Greenworks at key trade and customer events.
  • Provide regular updates on activities, including weekly reports.
  • Organize account visits with clear objectives in coordination with the Director and VP of Sales.
  • Deliver market feedback to leadership and product development teams to ensure alignment with market needs.
  • Formalize trade sales agreements promptly for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support product management teams in developing product lines to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Assist in determining product needs and marketing strategies to achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Prepare required reports in a timely manner.
  • Recommend policies regarding warranties, returns, credit, and distribution planning.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning process as needed.
  • Assist in establishing sales and managing the sales expense budget for national accounts.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Lead and motivate internal direct reports.
  • Comprehend profitability goals and execute plans to achieve objectives for the Greenworks account.
  • Collaborate closely with core business functions, including marketing, product management, and sales support, to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work with financial data in both presentations and written formats.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including oral, written, and listening abilities.
  • Proactive approach to business challenges.
  • Engagement in critical customer issues to drive favorable outcomes for Greenworks.
  • Capability to deliver professional presentations to diverse audiences effectively.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing; MBA preferred.
  • Previous experience with Tractor Supply Company is desirable.
  • Over 5 years of experience in the retail durable goods sector, encompassing sales, product management, or marketing.
  • Experience in Outdoor Power Equipment is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated successful track record and established relationships are essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel for meetings and market visits, approximately 25% of the time.
