Your Role

Phillips-Medisize LLC is in search of a dedicated Maintenance Technician to become a vital part of our 2nd Shift Maintenance Team. In this position, Maintenance Technicians undertake a diverse range of responsibilities.

They are tasked with ensuring that all molding, processing, and assembly automation machinery, along with the facility's grounds, are kept in optimal condition for maximum efficiency, reliability, and visual appeal, thereby facilitating the production of high-quality products while minimizing downtime.

Successful candidates will possess excellent time management abilities to effectively handle both scheduled and preventive maintenance duties, as well as unexpected repairs.

External applicants may qualify for a retention bonus of $2,500 after completing 90 days and an additional $2,500 after 180 days.


Our Team

At Phillips-Medisize, a leader in Medical Device Manufacturing specializing in Plastic Injection Molding, our Maintenance team consists of four members plus a supervisor.

This team is a supportive network for both internal and external clients, dedicated to learning and sharing knowledge.

This role presents a variety of tasks that provide new challenges and opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to our growth by installing, configuring, and troubleshooting injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and assembly systems.
• Identify equipment issues using appropriate testing tools and consistent problem-solving techniques.
• Maintain the operational uptime and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of all facility machinery by ensuring timely completion of preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Accurately document repairs using the Maintenance Work Order System to comply with internal and regulatory standards.
• Engage in problem-solving and process enhancement project teams for both existing and new equipment to ensure successful installations and efficiency improvements.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on electrical circuits, adhering to Class 1 limitations per NFPA-70.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, and heat pumps.
• Execute barrel and screw measurements, servicing, and maintenance.
• Act as a Safety Champion, ensuring strict compliance with all OSHA and Phillips-Medisize safety regulations and guidelines, while reinforcing these standards among peers, including:
- Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
- Machine guarding practices

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

One or more of the following:
• A minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and repair experience with manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• At least two (2) years of experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving for machines, automation, and robotics.
• An associate degree in a mechanical maintenance program.

What Will Set You Apart

• Experience in maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for injection molding machines.
• Familiarity with managing preventive maintenance processes within MRP or ERP systems.
• Proficiency in working and communicating effectively (both verbally and in writing) within a team environment.
