Your Role

Phillips-Medisize LLC is on the lookout for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to enhance our 2nd Shift Maintenance Team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will engage in a diverse range of responsibilities.

Your primary objective will be to ensure that all molding, processing, and assembly automation machinery, along with the facility's infrastructure, is maintained for optimal performance, reliability, and aesthetic appeal, thereby ensuring the production of high-quality products while minimizing downtime.

Successful candidates will exhibit strong time management abilities, effectively balancing scheduled maintenance tasks, preventive measures, and unexpected repairs.

Team Overview

At Phillips-Medisize, a leader in Medical Device Manufacturing specializing in Plastic Injection Molding, our Maintenance Team consists of four skilled technicians and a supervisor.

This team thrives on collaboration, supporting both internal and external clients while fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

This position offers a variety of tasks that present new challenges and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to our growth by installing, configuring, and troubleshooting injection molding machines, auxiliary systems, and assembly equipment.
• Diagnose equipment issues using appropriate testing tools and systematic problem-solving techniques.
• Maintain operational uptime and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by adhering to preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Accurately document repairs using the Maintenance Work Order System to comply with internal and regulatory standards.
• Engage in problem-solving and process enhancement initiatives for both existing and new equipment to ensure successful installations and efficiency gains.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on electrical circuits, adhering to Class 1 standards per NFPA-70.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, and heat pumps.
• Measure, service, and maintain barrels and screws.
• Act as a Safety Champion, ensuring compliance with all OSHA and Phillips-Medisize safety protocols, including:
   • Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
   • Machine guarding practices

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• A minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and repair experience with manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• At least two (2) years of experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving for machines, automation, and robotics.
• An associate degree in a mechanical maintenance discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and problem-solving specifically for injection molding machines.
• Familiarity with managing preventive maintenance processes within MRP or ERP systems.
• Proven ability to work effectively and communicate in a team environment, both verbally and in writing.
