ACS Professional Staffing is seeking a dedicated individual to provide on-site technical support in the role of Electrical Engineering Technician. This position involves delivering technical assistance and professional services for a diverse range of project designs, schematics, communications, and related documentation. The technician will collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to facilitate project implementation, assist field maintenance crews, and engage in various engineering activities.
Compensation: $25.76 – $32.89

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain databases for electrical and electronic drawings and documents.
- Prepare detailed specifications for equipment design and procurement.
- Develop engineering designs and requirements based on project parameters and technical data.
- Create standard guides and templates for assigned projects.
- Conduct site visits to support project scoping and design verification.
- Review CAD and manually drafted documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Update and manage Substation Engineering drawings in ProjectWise.
- Assist with special projects and recommend business rules and workflow processes.
- Support design engineers with reports, design packages, and other technical needs.
- Provide insights for the development and revision of engineering standards.
- Conduct reviews of existing design standards and update as necessary.
- Resolve issues related to serial numbering on designs.
- Offer technical assistance to team members regarding procedures and standards.
- Train new technicians and engineers on processes and standards.
- Participate in inventory documentation and data management efforts.
- Organize and analyze drawings and discuss project complexities with personnel.
- Draft designs based on engineers' notes and sketches.
- Assist with administrative duties related to engineering records maintenance.
- Manage CAD file operations, including plotting and storage.
- Update As Built file structures and prepare detailed drawings.
- Oversee submissions of As Built documentation and mentor team members.
- Maintain compliance with information security and governance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering technology, mathematics, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Experience in a technical or engineering environment demonstrating increasing responsibility.
- Proficiency in CAD software is essential.
- Experience with MicroStation CAD software and ProjectWise is preferred.
- A valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
