The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is tasked with executing various maintenance activities essential for preserving and enhancing the community's value. Collaborating with the maintenance team and management, they ensure that the quality of work aligns with the standards established by ownership and residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fulfill all assigned maintenance service requests
  • Conduct tasks related to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting
  • Maintain, repair, and replace HVAC systems
  • Repair and address issues in structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors
  • Schedule and execute preventative maintenance
  • Perform minor pool maintenance
  • Assist in overseeing all work conducted by external contractors
  • Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned
  • Support grounds maintenance, including trash collection, sidewalk sweeping, and light landscaping
  • Prepare units for new residents
  • Ensure safety practices comply with all company, local, municipal, state, and federal guidelines
  • Adhere to Bridge policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing, state, and federal laws
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance
  • Engage in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry, and carpentry
  • Working familiarity with HVAC systems
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Effective communication skills with residents, colleagues, and management
  • Availability for emergency repairs at all times (24/7)
  • Capability to climb up to 40 feet
  • Color vision and auditory ability

Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in facility maintenance
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
