Job Overview

As a Retail Cash Management Specialist at O'Gara Coach Company, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial transactions. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of essential tasks aimed at providing exceptional service to our customers while maintaining the integrity of our cash handling processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accuracy Assurance: Verify that all invoice totals and receipts are correct.
  • Cash Flow Monitoring: Oversee the cash flow within the Service and Parts Departments.
  • Customer Transactions: Collect total retail charges from customers and provide appropriate change and receipts.
  • Documentation Compliance: Ensure all repair orders and credit card receipts are signed by customers at the time of payment.
  • Customer Support: Address customer inquiries regarding invoices with transparency and integrity.
  • Complaint Resolution: Handle customer complaints promptly and with genuine concern, adhering to dealership guidelines.
  • Communication: Manage phone calls and assist customers effectively.
  • Cash Register Management: Handle and account for daily cash transactions in the assigned register.
  • File Management: Organize Repair Orders as directed by the Service Department.
  • Data Entry: Update customer information in the system as needed.
  • Relationship Building: Foster excellent working relationships with customers.
  • Safety Reporting: Report any situations that may jeopardize the safety or integrity of the dealership.
  • Closing Procedures: Follow established Cashier Closing Procedures as outlined by the Business Office.
  • Cash Drawer Reconciliation: Balance the cash drawer nightly and report any discrepancies, especially overages or shortages exceeding $5.00.
  • Payment Preparation: Prepare all necessary paperwork and forms of payment for the business office.
  • Referral Management: Direct customers with additional questions to the appropriate service advisor.
  • Workplace Maintenance: Keep work areas organized and clean at all times.
  • Customer Amenities: Monitor and maintain refreshments for customers, including coffee and supplies.
  • Staff Training: Provide training to other cashier office staff on the proper maintenance of equipment.
  • Professional Development: Attend training sessions as directed by management.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by corporate management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an automotive repair environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with multiple customers simultaneously.
  • Experience collaborating with dealership personnel.
  • One year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or office management.
  • Team player with a commitment to honesty and integrity.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
