Retail Operations Supervisor - Newbury Park

Job Overview

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in Retail Management or Supervisory roles is essential.

• Proficiency in operating POS systems and managing employee schedules is required.

• A valid Driver's License and proof of insurance are mandatory.

• Successful completion of a background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry, is necessary.

• Strong communication skills are needed to interact effectively with management, staff, customers, and donors.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.

• Capability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as files, clothing carts, and other merchandise handling equipment.

• Ability to operate a telephone and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Capacity to perform various repetitive motion tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Store Manager to oversee daily store operations.

• Assume full responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.

• Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for store employees.

• Ensure customer and donor satisfaction by maintaining positive relationships and addressing complaints promptly.

• Lead daily team meetings and shift changes in the absence of the Store Manager.

• Supervise staff to ensure adherence to established guidelines and procedures.

• Train new employees on store policies and procedures.

• Complete assigned tasks from the Store Manager and other supervisory personnel.

• Maintain store standards in line with merchandising guidelines and ensure adequate inventory levels.

• Oversee backroom processing and ensure efficient operations in the absence of the Store Manager.

• Safeguard cash and ensure proper banking procedures are followed.

• Attend monthly store meetings and assist in implementing safety measures in accordance with company policies.

• Responsible for the protection of store property and assets.

Education:

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Required: 2 years of experience in Retail Management or Supervisory roles.

Licenses & Certifications:

Required: Valid Driver's License.
