Position Overview:
The Trade Desk is in search of an Accounting Specialist to join our Treasury Accounting Team.

This position will report to the Accounting Associate Manager and will be an integral part of a high-performing Accounting and Finance team.

The Accounting Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that all treasury accounting functions, including daily cash reporting, treasury-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and quarterly disclosures, are executed accurately and in a timely manner.

We seek a highly motivated, proactive individual who is eager to learn and contribute to our team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Engage in the month-end closing process, which includes the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.
2. Generate monthly and quarterly flux and variance analyses.
3. Conduct daily cash reporting and manage cash-related systems (e.g., Kyriba).
4. Prepare treasury-related quarterly disclosures (e.g., cash, investments, debt).
5. Assist in researching, documenting, and implementing the implications of current accounting standards.
6. Respond to information requests and support audit processes.
7. Demonstrate a strong interest in enhancing the automation of accounting and reporting procedures.
8. Serve as the primary contact for inquiries related to AR/AP/Tax/Equity bank transactions.
9. Participate in various department-wide initiatives.
10. Maintain, implement, and comply with internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures to ensure adherence to GAAP.
11. Support management with special projects and ad-hoc requests as necessary.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 0-2+ years of experience in corporate accounting; public company experience is a plus.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with GAAP.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency, including lookups, pivot tables, and nested formulas.
- Self-motivated and an exceptional team player.
