Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the performance of all kitchen staff, providing coaching and training to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Work closely with our senior event chefs to develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our clients and exceed their expectations.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of all events, from start to finish, ensuring that every detail is attended to and every guest has a memorable experience.
  • Manage food and labor costs, identifying opportunities to reduce waste and optimize profitability.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of all kitchen equipment, ensuring that it is always in good working order.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency in all areas of the kitchen.
  • Work closely with our front-of-house team to ensure that every guest has a seamless and enjoyable experience.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in upscale events, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to oversee cost control, labor management, and bottom-line profitability.
  • Ability to interact positively with colleagues, management, and clients to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach.
  • Ability to manage and lead events of 250+ guests, including cocktail receptions, seated dinners, business receptions, private dining, casual receptions, weddings, galas, and other large gatherings.
  • Ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner, which is accurate, complete, and of high quality.
  • Able to train and motivate team members, showcase effective time management and organizational skills, and maintain high standards in all areas of security, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.
