Position Summary:

We are in search of dedicated and trustworthy canvassers to operate within the Northeast Indiana region. This role is an 18-month contract focused on enrolling qualified customers into our utility-sponsored load control initiative. The position involves assisting a major utility in providing load control devices to enhance power grid efficiency. This is a field-based role with a schedule of Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM EST.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Field Canvassing: Engage with pre-qualified residences to identify and enroll eligible customers.
  • Eligibility Verification: Confirm customer eligibility using provided scripts and information, ensuring accuracy.
  • Effective Communication: Articulate the advantages of the program, including the installation of load control devices on central AC units, while addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Information Accuracy: Collect and record customer information meticulously to minimize cancellations and misunderstandings.
  • Enrollment Confirmation: Secure customer participation during the canvassing process.
  • Quota Fulfillment: Achieve daily enrollment targets.
  • Technician Coordination: Facilitate smooth collaboration with installation teams by providing precise and complete customer information.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous involvement in door-to-door sales, canvassing, or customer service is advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication abilities, capable of clearly conveying program benefits and addressing customer concerns.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate customer data and reduce cancellation rates.
  • Dependability: Reliable and punctual, committed to achieving enrollment goals.
  • Customer Orientation: Professional and friendly demeanor, focused on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to walk for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • $20 per hour base pay plus performance incentives.
