Job Description:

The Platform Product team at Flexential is seeking a seasoned, forward-thinking Alliances and Ecosystem Manager to drive and support the strategic vision of our platform. This individual will define and execute our ecosystem enhancement strategy as an individual contributor, focusing on attracting cloud-based services into our data centers, expanding our software-defined interconnection solution, and building strategic relationships with complementary service providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ecosystem Development: Define and execute ecosystem prospects and partnerships to provide added value to Flexential's platform.
  • Partnership Evaluation: Evaluate and prioritize partnership opportunities through quantitative and qualitative due diligence.
  • Ecosystem Enhancements: Ownership of ecosystem enhancements from ideation, deployment, to lifecycle management.
  • Metrics and Success: Work closely with the leadership team to develop and drive metrics that define success for ecosystem development and the overall strategy for success.
  • Business Cases: Develop and implement business cases to enhance our relationships with leading cloud service providers and deploy strategies for on-ramps.
  • Cloud Fabric Destinations: Collaborate with technical teams to design and build cloud fabric destinations, ensuring seamless integration with platforms.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Act as a subject matter expert on cloud on-ramp technologies and industry trends, providing guidance and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner Education: Educate partners on the value of our platform and how joint solutions can be enabled through technical and strategic content.
  • Forecasting: Accurately forecast the results of business development activity.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience working within a cloud hyperscaler (AWS/GCP/Azure) or with partnership and development role.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, ecosystem development, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in developing relationships and contacts with ecosystem partners specifically -- cloud providers, network service providers, and SaaS providers.
  • Proven success delivering joint solutions with cloud partners and customers.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and software application development practices.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Service solutions ecosystem and ability to clearly understand and articulate the business value of being present on a network fabric.
  • Deep strategic advisor and executive relationship management experience driving sales with partners in commercial businesses.
  • Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with large and small audiences.
  • Growth mindset mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, learning and follow through.
  • Ability to professionally represent Flexential at a strategic level at industry events and partner conferences.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with a cloud provider relationships and technical networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with the data center market and digital infrastructure.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, computer science or a related field.
