Job Summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-centered care to assigned patients, utilizing established protocols and multidisciplinary plans of care.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN license or valid temporary permit with the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Two years of Labor and Delivery experience or completion of Parkland's Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Residency Program or Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Fellowship Program.
  • Current healthcare provider CPR course completion card from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certificate or AWHONN Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring certificate or National Corporation Certification (NCC) Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification.
