Job Summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to patients and families in the Labor and Delivery unit.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on various aspects of healthcare.
Requirements
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas or valid Compact RN license.
  • Two years of Labor and Delivery experience or successful completion of Parkland's Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Residency Program.
  • Current healthcare provider CPR course completion card from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certificate or AWHONN Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring certificate or National Corporation Certification (NCC) Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification.
