Job Summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns, including administering medications, performing lab tests, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify potential complications and develop strategies to prevent them.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in labor and delivery care.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Two years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 36 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
