Job Title: Account Executive, Group Sales

The Des Moines Menace is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Account Executive, Group Sales. This is a paid, part-time spring and full-time summer position that requires a passion for sports and knowledge of the game of soccer.

Responsibilities:
  • Sell premium and group tickets to the greater Des Moines area, including individuals, families, and corporations.
  • Manage and build relationships to create new opportunities for group leaders and future referrals.
  • Network at local events, including community, partnership, and other related opportunities.
  • Service current and prospective group leaders on matchdays.
  • Implement best practices, prospecting, lead generation, and lead management while demonstrating outbound sales efforts.
  • Create, build, and execute group theme nights and group sales business plans.
  • Represent the Des Moines Menace in a positive way on game days when interacting with clients.
  • Work Menace home matches in May - August, including full-day dedication to game day set up, servicing fans, and post-game tear down.
  • Assist with pre-season events, such as Open Cup, Just for Girls Spring Tournament, and spring Junior Menace, as available.
  • Maintain confidentiality for sensitive club information.
  • Perform other projects and duties as directed by Menace Soccer Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
  • A passion for sports and knowledge of the game of soccer is preferred.
  • Ability to be detail-oriented, problem-solve, and communicate with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects at a time with tight deadlines.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Proven team player who is willing to work long days, nights, and weekends.
