Position Overview

Northrop Grumman is actively looking for an Advanced Systems Engineer to support our Production Team for the AARGM-ER programs, collaborating with our skilled Advanced Weapons team.

This role requires full-time, on-site engagement. Remote work arrangements are not available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering support as part of troubleshooting teams, with expertise in multiple engineering domains (RF, Electrical, and/or Mechanical Engineering).
  • Assist in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
  • Create, update, and maintain data analysis programs for production and performance testing evaluations.
  • Support Failure Trend Analysis and data mining for failure databases.
  • Engage with management and external customers to communicate technical briefings and project statuses.
  • Facilitate Program Management activities to meet cost and schedule objectives.
  • Oversee critical subcontractor management for the development, testing, and delivery of quality products.
  • Participate in technical meetings to understand system integration and assess impacts.
  • Document manufacturing and testing requirements for missile production.
  • Generate essential manufacturing documentation, including Acceptance Test Plans and Assembly Instructions.
  • Support updates to technical manuals and system documentation.
  • Coordinate engineering activities during system integration and production phases.
  • Review test requirements to ensure completeness of the testing program.
  • Generate Engineering Change Proposals.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or physics discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Active DoD security clearance.
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate across various technical disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective communication with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow manufacturing procedures.
  • Strong work ethic and capability to thrive in an integrated product team environment.
  • Willingness to work on-site full-time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in missile or weapon development programs.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering tools and configuration management processes.
  • Proficiency in Matlab or Python.
  • Experience in production environments and aerospace design.
  • Knowledge of RF or electronics sensor systems.
  • Understanding of the RCCA process and prior experience in an AS9100 environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $127,400, with additional benefits including health insurance, life and disability insurance, and paid time off.
