Join our team at Bethesda Senior Living Communities as an Activities Director, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our senior residents through engaging and fulfilling activities.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to lead our activities program, creating a vibrant and stimulating environment for our residents. As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing activities that cater to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a monthly calendar of activities that meet the residents' diverse needs and interests.
  • Create and lead activities that promote social connections, cognitive stimulation, and physical well-being.
  • Assess resident needs and preferences to tailor activities to their individual interests and abilities.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive community environment.
  • Manage and supervise volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to support the activities program.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations to enhance our residents' experiences.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the activities program, making adjustments as needed.
Requirements:
  • Certified Activity Director (CAD) or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with activity programming, volunteer management, and community outreach.
  • Knowledge of gerontology, adult development, and learning principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
