Customer Solutions Specialist

At Office Depot Inc., the Customer Solutions Specialist plays a pivotal part in delivering comprehensive solutions to our clientele, covering Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. This part-time position is designed for individuals who can swiftly establish and nurture customer relationships, becoming a reliable advisor through their expertise in technology products and print services.
The Customer Solutions Specialist is expected to exhibit enthusiasm for the brand and its diverse offerings, including technology products, furniture, and print services. By employing Office Depot Inc.'s established sales techniques, the specialist will actively engage with customers, driving sales across all offerings while accurately assessing customer needs to guarantee satisfaction in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service by informing customers about Office Depot products and services. Utilize communication tools effectively to seek assistance on the sales floor and coordinate appropriate services and customer engagement throughout the store. Responsibilities include cashier duties, logistics support, stocking, inventory management, and maintaining store cleanliness while safeguarding company assets. Ensure the processing of damaged and defective merchandise through the appropriate channels.
- When not assisting customers, engage in merchandise-related tasks to ensure adherence to presentation standards, including implementing plan-o-gram updates and price adjustments. Set up weekly promotions and ensure all store signage is current.
- Proactively greet and engage every customer to foster a positive shopping experience. Utilize and comprehend the sales program to promote the best solutions and additional products or services. Stay informed about upcoming advertisements and promotions.
- Assess customer needs to identify additional offerings or services that may benefit them, including referrals to the Contract Sales team when necessary.
- Continuously enhance personal selling skills and specialized product knowledge. Support sales in Technology, Tech Services, Furniture, and Print by engaging with current programs, new product launches, and special initiatives.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices while supporting loss prevention efforts.
- Complete required training in Tech, Print, and other relevant areas, including any necessary certifications.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Level of Formal Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year in a related field.
- Preferred 2 years in Sales and/or Customer Service.
- Ability to utilize technology and print equipment relevant to the role and access necessary information for daily tasks.
- Proficient in processing transactions through the POS system.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Strong selling capabilities.
