Overview: The Employee Benefits Account Executive plays a crucial role in nurturing and managing client relationships within their designated portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio generating over $500,000 in revenue.
  • Serve as the primary Account Executive for client accounts.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans tailored to client needs.
  • Set clear expectations for service delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-Suite executives.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and senior account teams to achieve a client retention rate of at least 92% annually, utilizing the OMNI and Risk Assessment methodologies.
  • Exhibit strategic insight and innovation, leveraging market knowledge, carrier options, and product offerings.
  • Actively engage in preparation and participation in client meetings and individual strategy sessions.
  • Foster collaboration and identify cross-selling opportunities across various service lines (Property/Casualty, Employee Benefits, etc.) to strengthen client relations.
  • Oversee the overall client relationship, ensuring profitability, satisfaction, and organic growth.
  • Work with leadership to select appropriate account management personnel and subject matter experts for effective sales presentations.
  • Design and execute sales and marketing strategies, including regular communications to enhance USI's market position.
  • Represent USI positively at industry events, seminars, and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the account management team and national resources to optimize outcomes.
  • Communicate client objectives clearly to account management teams.
  • Ensure efficient staff utilization for the assigned portfolio and maintain current knowledge of client accounts.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in insurance brokerage, carrier operations, or related business-to-business sales.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a drive for personal success.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational and follow-up capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of Employee Benefits.
  • A consultative, proactive, and resourceful approach to client interactions.
  • Highly developed organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent listening skills with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Goal-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to engage with senior management and exhibit executive presence.
  • A college degree and current insurance licensing are preferred.
