KCARC is currently looking for a dedicated Cost Accountant. This is a full-time, on-site role that reports directly to the Vice President of Business and Finance.

The primary responsibilities of this position include planning, analyzing, and gathering data to assess the costs associated with manufacturing activities, such as raw material acquisitions, inventory management, and labor expenses. The role involves the accumulation of cost data for external financial reporting and the collection of quantitative information for internal management purposes, aiding in planning, decision-making, and control processes. Key duties will also encompass executing cost accounting closing functions on a daily and weekly basis, while developing and reviewing general ledger entries and financial statements on a monthly basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Cost Accounting within a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Strong background in cost systems, excellent analytical capabilities, and a solid understanding of accounting principles are essential.
  • Familiarity with Sage and MISys software is advantageous.
