Position Overview

The Lodge of the Wabash is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead our esteemed healthcare facility located in Vincennes, IN. Our organization is dedicated to providing exceptional long-term care and rehabilitation services, with a strong emphasis on enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Key Responsibilities

The Chief Executive Officer will oversee the administration of our healthcare facility, leading a team of interdisciplinary managers to achieve the following:

  • Ensure all operations align with the organization's mission and core values.
  • Expand and enhance programs and services focused on medical and psycho/social rehabilitation, as well as community health initiatives for the elderly.
  • Develop, implement, and manage various facility activities, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality care and efficient operations.
  • Represent the organization at community engagements and promote our services through various media channels.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay informed on best practices in healthcare.
  • Oversee financial operations, including budget management, accounting, and service rate establishment.
  • Negotiate contracts and services to improve facility infrastructure and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and safety standards at all staff levels.
  • Uphold the healthcare facility's Bill of Rights in accordance with state and federal regulations, ensuring all residents receive appropriate nursing, medical, and psychological services.
  • Manage the facility's operations around the clock, including addressing emergency situations and responding promptly to resident and family inquiries.
  • Act as a liaison between corporate staff, medical personnel, and residents, advocating for their needs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to maintain high standards for the building, grounds, and equipment.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or four years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • A valid Nursing Home Administrator License is required.
