Position Overview:
The Retail Pharmacy Operations Manager is tasked with the effective oversight and administration of the pharmacy's daily operations. This role encompasses several key responsibilities, including:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive drug information and understanding their effects on patients.
  • Designing and implementing a product formulation and packaging strategy.
  • Creating and managing patient-centered services.
  • Engaging in departmental activities with pharmacy staff.

Essential Duties:

  • Develops and oversees patient-focused clinical pharmacy services, which include: a) drug information dissemination; b) establishment of a pharmacy patient database; c) patient education initiatives; d) monitoring and evaluating therapeutic drug regimens; e) conducting drug utilization reviews; f) tracking specific adverse drug reactions; and g) providing additional services to enhance medication use in patient care.
  • Assigns and prioritizes tasks to ensure timely execution of responsibilities.
  • Reviews all retail medication orders for appropriateness, ensuring correct dosages, identifying potential drug interactions, and assessing adverse reactions.
  • Responsible for generating weekly and monthly operational reports.
  • Educates pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals on relevant laws, codes, and regulations governing the services and equipment utilized by the organization.

Work Schedule:
Four weekdays alternating with three weekdays and a Saturday (closed on Sunday).
