Job Summary

Spectrum Health & Human Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will provide exceptional support to our clinicians, providers, and managers while delivering outstanding customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide complex administrative tasks and support to clinicians, providers, and managers.
  • Client Services: Greet and check in clients upon arrival, process intakes, scheduling, and auditing, and upload documents into client health records.
  • Communication: Answer and direct calls to the appropriate person, respond to high-volume email requests, and send/receive incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
  • Financial Management: Daily insurance verification, completion of financial reviews, collection, reconciliation, and posting of client payments.
  • Travel: May require travel between sites to provide coverage for other support staff.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One year of work experience in a related field, preferably.
  • Skills: Strong ability to navigate computer programs, excellent customer service skills, and strong communication skills.
