Position Summary:

The Senior Corporate Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Accounting. This position involves direct supervision of a corporate staff accountant and collaboration with various departments across the organization. The manager will be responsible for ensuring the precise and timely consolidation of financial entities and the preparation of the parent company's financial statements in compliance with US GAAP. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with extensive knowledge of US GAAP and experience in a dynamic, high-growth corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly preparation of financial statements and the consolidation of financial reports for the parent company and Stream Realty Partners.
  • Assist in establishing the consolidated financial reporting team.
  • Develop a systematic approach for intercompany and affiliate consolidations and eliminations.
  • Support the SVP of Corporate Accounting in refining the expedited closing process.
  • Collaborate with the SVP of Corporate Accounting and external auditors to transition financials to US GAAP.
  • Lead the formulation of US GAAP policies and procedures for the organization.
  • Prepare and allocate Shared Services costs to corporate entities monthly, ensuring accurate consolidations and quarterly true-up allocations.
  • Monitor consolidated financial statements to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
  • Enhance internal controls and contribute to their development.
  • Maintain financial systems, including partnership structures, standard reports, account posting rules, and the general ledger chart of accounts.
  • Oversee the opening and closing of ledger periods.
  • Manage daily accounting operations for the parent company.
  • Review daily cash reconciliations and month-end bank reconciliations, while monitoring the daily cash position.
  • Work with the Treasurer to support cash forecasting and projections.
  • Engage with finance leaders in Treasury, Tax, Data Centers, Property Accounting, and Fund Accounting.
  • Lead special projects and define processes to foster future growth and scalability.
  • Review and authorize ACH and wire transfers for accounts payable and payroll.
  • Serve as the enterprise expert for ASC 810 accounting.
  • Manage and mentor staff, providing guidance to promote professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • 7 to 10+ years of experience in corporate accounting is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 experience is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 810 is essential.
  • Familiarity with ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 350, and ASC 360 is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the Commercial Real Estate, Brokerage, or Property Management sectors is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Excel, including advanced functions such as X-Lookups, V-Lookups, and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience with Yardi and/or Workday accounting software is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at a high level.
  • Skilled in creating training materials and policy documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess an executive presence and the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • High attention to detail and capability to manage large volumes of financial data.
  • A strong desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, with a hands-on approach to coaching and sharing knowledge.
