The Corporate Consolidations Accountant will report directly to the Corporate Consolidations Controller and will play a key role in maintaining precise cash balances and executing month-end closing entries for the parent organization.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and document journal entries, including recurring monthly entries, cash transactions, reclassifications, and additional entries as directed.
- Conduct daily cash reconciliations and manage month-end bank reconciliations.
- Generate and record customer and intercompany billings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Review, authorize, and document cash receipts.
- Facilitate ACH and wire transfers for accounts payable and payroll disbursements.
- Reconcile costs associated with marketing events and prepare relevant intercompany entries.
- Assist in balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the Corporate VP with consolidation entries and reporting.
- Collaborate with the Corporate VP to research and resolve inquiries.
- Complete additional projects and tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting is essential.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles, specifically ASC 805 and ASC 810.
- Experience in corporate consolidations and intercompany reconciliations is preferred.
- Experience in the Commercial Real Estate or Property Management sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Yardi and/or Workday accounting software is a plus.
- Proficient to advanced Excel skills are required.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Meticulous attention to detail and capability to manage extensive financial data.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge with colleagues.
