POSITION SUMMARY:

The Corporate Consolidations Accountant is responsible for supporting the Corporate Consolidations Controller by ensuring precise cash management and facilitating month-end closing processes for the parent organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare and document journal entries, including regular monthly entries, cash transactions, reclassifications, and additional entries as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Conduct daily cash reconciliations and compile month-end bank reconciliations.
  • Generate and record customer and intercompany invoices.
    • Evaluate, authorize, and document cash receipts.
  • Execute ACH and wire transfers for accounts payable and payroll disbursements.
  • Reconcile costs associated with marketing events and prepare relevant intercompany entries.
  • Assist in balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the Corporate VP with corporate consolidation entries and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate VP to investigate and resolve inquiries.
  • Complete additional projects and tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting is essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP is required, specifically ASC 805 and ASC 810.
  • Previous experience in corporate consolidations and intercompany reconciliations is necessary.
  • Experience in the Commercial Real Estate or Property Management sectors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Yardi and/or Workday accounting software is a plus.
  • Proficient to advanced skills in Excel are required.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and capability to manage extensive financial data.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and share information appropriately with colleagues.
