Position Overview:
Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is in search of a Senior Accounting Manager to guide our financial team towards excellence.
Work Environment: This role is primarily onsite during the initial phase of employment, with opportunities for a hybrid work model after training is completed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the precise and timely preparation of financial reports and the upkeep of the general ledger.
- Lead and cultivate the corporate accounting team, promoting a culture of high performance.
- Oversee the preparation of journal entries, financial reports, and comprehensive financial analyses.
- Deliver valuable insights and analyses to department heads for informed financial management and budget assessments.
- Manage the monthly closing process, ensuring compliance with established procedures and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Guarantee adherence to compliance standards and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations, collaborating with auditors for risk evaluations.
- Assist in financial planning, including the formulation of annual budgets, and implement enhancements to standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in an accounting role within a multi-location retail or healthcare organization.
- Proven supervisory experience is essential.
- Proficiency in accounting enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is required.
- Strong background in general ledger accounting, with a preference for experience in PeopleSoft financials.
- Experience in a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliant environment is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in a home health or hospice context is advantageous.
