About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Accounting Leader to join our team at Kasa. As the Head of Corporate and Hospitality Accounting, you will be responsible for leading our corporate and property-level accounting and reporting teams, building scalable processes while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for our property partners and investors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting Accuracy & Timeliness: Ensure that our financial reporting is accurate, timely, and of high quality, meeting the needs of our property partners and investors.
  • Team Management: Oversee and inspire a team of accounting professionals to produce top-tier financial reporting while maximizing reconciliation efficiency.
  • Tax and Audit Improvements: Ensure compliance with tax and audit regulations, including SOC and audit compliance.
  • Partner and Cross-Functional Management: Collaborate with external partners, such as tax, audit, and real estate firms, and internal stakeholders, including regional general managers and financial reporting managers.
Requirements
  • CPA License: A valid CPA license with at least 12 years of experience leading accounting/reporting teams in the Hotel industry.
  • Hotel Management Agreement Reporting Standards: Significant experience with hotel management agreement reporting standards (USALI and GAAP), lease accounting, and familiarity with ownership structures common in the commercial real estate industry.
  • Corporate Company-Level Reporting: Experience with corporate company-level reporting, including GAAP financial reporting, equity accounting, and corporate KPI analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Product/Tech Teams: Experience working with product/tech teams to develop creative solutions to legacy accounting system and/or process blockers.
  • Experience with Netsuite, Adaptive Insights (Workday), SQL or Looker: Experience using Netsuite, Adaptive Insights (Workday), SQL or Looker.
  • Public Company and/or Venture-Backed Company Reporting Experience: Experience with public company and/or venture-backed company reporting.
