Position Summary
The Global Client Finance (GCF) department at Mediabrands is responsible for the financial oversight and commercial management of prominent global clients, which include industry leaders such as Johnson & Johnson, Spotify, ExxonMobil, BMW, Unilever, Sony, and American Express. The core objective of this department is to enhance global client revenue and profitability across the Mediabrands network. Given the global nature of Mediabrands, the GCF team frequently collaborates with international markets.
The GCF team provides financial leadership on a global scale, spearheads compensation negotiations, and innovates compensation models whenever feasible. Additionally, GCF plays a pivotal role in new business proposals, particularly concerning compensation and commercial strategies. The group is also tasked with the regular assessment of client profitability and may assist the Global CFO with various operational initiatives.
The Global Client Finance Analyst will assist the GCF team in the comprehensive management of global clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist the GCF Manager in overseeing a designated group of global clients, including the evaluation of financial performance against objectives, identifying market opportunities and challenges, and participating in regular business review meetings for each client. Proactively highlight potential opportunities and risks.
- Contribute to the preparation of profitability analyses and internal reports, contract development and maintenance, client reporting, and compensation negotiations.
- Support Client Business Leads by providing ad-hoc financial data and reports.
- Assist in the commercial aspects of new business proposals, including RFP responses, pitch budget management, compensation modeling, and contract formulation.
- Gather and analyze financial data from international markets to discuss with managers and determine appropriate actions or follow-ups.
- Review and address specific market variances in relation to forecasts and targets.
- Source necessary data from various financial systems and create ad hoc analyses.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and particularly Excel.
- Accurate, inquisitive, and efficient in work with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong time management abilities with a flexible and adaptable attitude.
- Professional demeanor that conveys composure.
- Collaborative and team-oriented with a personable approach suitable for client interactions.
- IPG Mediabrands does not mandate candidates to possess a college degree.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- One year of relevant experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Hyperion is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience in media planning and/or buying is beneficial but not required.
- Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus but not necessary.

The salary range for this position is outlined below. The actual salary for an employee or prospective employee within this range will depend on various factors, including current/former employee salary ranges for the position, market considerations, budgetary factors, tenure and standing with the company (for current employees), as well as the employee's/applicant's skill set, experience level, and qualifications.
