Ideal Candidate Profile

We are in search of a remarkable analyst with a strong enthusiasm for fundamental research and data evaluation.

With a proven track record of crafting and executing research initiatives, you should possess in-depth knowledge of one or more sectors within the global agricultural commodity landscape, including grains, oilseeds, soft commodities, and/or livestock.

The perfect candidate will have experience in a physical trading environment, a sell-side institution, or a hedge fund, functioning as a fundamentally driven analyst, forecasting intricate global supply and demand scenarios, and providing analytical insights.

Commodity analysts will collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers to devise, investigate, and implement investment strategies. Outstanding analysts may eventually progress to a Portfolio Manager position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop investment strategies grounded in fundamental research and data analysis.
  • Create comprehensive commodity supply and demand models.
  • Enhance and expand analytical tools and processes while remaining informed about market trends and insights.
  • Analyze commodity data for specific markets and conduct ad hoc evaluations based on immediate market changes.
  • Assess and enhance data quality.

Qualifications

About You
  • Experience in commodities is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in statistics, mathematics, computer science, finance, or economics.
  • High academic achievement (GPA >3.8 or equivalent).
  • Proficient in financial modeling, particularly using Python, VBA, or Matlab.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and excel in a fast-paced team setting.
  • A desire to work in an environment that values excellence.
