S&P Global Ratings is on the lookout for a seasoned analyst to enhance its Structured Finance Ratings team, which specializes in providing credit ratings and assessments for a diverse range of asset-backed securities (ABS). The Senior Analyst will oversee the comprehensive rating process, conduct research, perform cash flow and credit analyses, and engage with clients for both new issue ratings and ongoing surveillance of ABS transactions linked to consumer and commercial assets.

Key Responsibilities:

This role integrates research with both quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities, client interactions, and project oversight. Daily responsibilities encompass executing the complete ratings process, scrutinizing documentation, evaluating the credit profiles of collateral pools, and performing cash flow assessments to gauge the credit rating implications of stress tests on structures and enhancement levels across various economic conditions. The Senior Analyst will facilitate credit rating committees and collaborate with bankers, issuers, and investors on analytical issues. Specific duties include:
  • Conducting thorough analytical work, including fundamental credit assessments, financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and drafting analytical reports on rated corporate entities.
  • Maintaining direct analytical oversight for a portfolio of rated corporate issuers under the mentorship of a Senior Analyst.
  • Executing ongoing surveillance and providing rating recommendations.
  • Engaging in repeated analytical discussions with senior management of rated entities and presenting analytical insights to both internal and external stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits:

For candidates in the US, S&P Global indicates that the expected base salary range for this position is between $85,700 and $150,400. The final salary will be determined based on geographic location, experience, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and other S&P Global benefits.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in the structured finance sector with a focus on ABS or credit analysis within the financial services industry, typically requiring 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • A self-motivated and intellectually curious individual with a strong work ethic and ambition to excel.
  • Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
  • A solid understanding of financial markets and their connection to S&P products.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to analyze and resolve complex problems promptly and insightfully.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Credentials:
  • MBA or CFA designation.
Work Eligibility:
