Position Summary
The Global Client Finance (GCF) division at Mediabrands is responsible for the financial and commercial oversight of global clients, which include prominent names such as Johnson & Johnson, Spotify, ExxonMobil, BMW, Unilever, Sony, and American Express. The primary objective of this division is to enhance global client revenue and profitability across the Mediabrands network. The GCF team frequently collaborates with international markets to achieve this goal.
The Global Client Finance Analyst will play a vital role in supporting the GCF team in managing global clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the GCF Manager in overseeing a designated group of global clients, including analyzing financial performance against established targets, identifying market opportunities and challenges, and participating in regular business review meetings for each client. Highlight potential opportunities and risks.
- Contribute to the preparation of profitability analyses and internal reports, as well as the development and maintenance of contracts, client reporting, and compensation negotiations.
- Provide support to Client Business Leads with ad-hoc financial information and reports.
- Assist in the commercial aspects of new business pitches, including RFP responses, pitch budget management, compensation modeling, and contract development.
- Gather and analyze financial data from international markets to discuss with managers and determine appropriate actions or follow-ups.
- Review and address specific market variances in relation to forecasts and targets.
- Source necessary data from various financial systems and create ad hoc analyses as required.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and particularly Excel.
- Demonstrated accuracy, curiosity, and efficiency in work, complemented by excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong time management abilities with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- A calm demeanor that reflects professionalism.
- Collaborative and team-oriented, with a personable and client-appropriate approach.
- A college degree is not a requirement for candidates at IPG Mediabrands.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- One year of relevant experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Hyperion is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience in media planning and/or buying is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus but not required.
