Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our retail operations as the Vice President of Donated Goods Retail. This key leadership role will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and oversight of our retail operations, ensuring maximum profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive retail operations and achieve business objectives.
  • Provide analytical oversight of retail operations, ensuring maximum profitability and growth.
  • Supervise managers responsible for achieving budgeted revenue and expense goals.
  • Conduct reviews of monthly financial performance and develop plans for improvement.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve production, merchandising, and display of product to meet sales and cost objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout areas supervised.
  • Partner with transportation and warehouse operations to ensure the overall needs of retail are being met.
  • Ensure security procedures are in place to minimize internal and external shrinkage and provide maximum security and protection of company assets.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chief Operating Officer to develop strategies for expansion of retail operations in assigned Goodwill territory.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, Retail Management, or related field.
  • At least seven years of progressive experience in manufacturing, retail, or related field.
  • At least five years' supervisory experience.
  • Thrift retail experience with Goodwill is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of the secondhand retail market, including trends, valuation of used goods, and competition within the thrift and resale industry.
  • Expertise in pricing strategies for pre-owned products.
Work Environment

The position requires frequent travel to retail locations and must be able to perform physical requirements of the position, including but not limited to: inside, sedentary work; frequent forward, horizontal reach at desk; occasional standing, walking up to 60 feet, stair climbing, stooping/bending; push/pull up to 20 lbs.; infrequent crouching/squatting.
