TEAM MEMBERSHIP: EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP QUALITY MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
Purpose: The Senior Vice President of Retail Operations provides strategic leadership and oversight for retail activities. This role collaborates with other executive team members to shape and implement strategic initiatives while fostering a culture of mentorship and professional development among staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and performance metrics of retail locations, donation centers, and associated logistics.
- Act as the primary representative for the division, liaising with various organizational groups.
- Provide analytical insights into retail performance, ensuring profitability and developing corrective strategies when necessary.
- Guide retail teams in establishing and achieving both short-term and long-term objectives.
- Supervise managers to meet financial targets and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Utilize key performance indicators to assess retail effectiveness and adjust strategies to align with budgetary goals.
- Collaborate with retail leadership to enhance product merchandising and sales displays.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate partnerships with transportation and warehouse teams to meet retail operational needs.
- Implement security measures to safeguard company assets and minimize losses.
- Work with the COO to strategize retail expansion initiatives within the designated territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulations governing the sale of secondhand goods.
- Participate in meetings, training, and committee activities as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Retail Management, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of seven years of progressive experience in retail or a similar sector. A minimum of five years in a supervisory role is required. Experience in thrift retail is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
