Position Overview:

The Hispanic Technology Executive Council is seeking a highly skilled Global Risk Management Executive specializing in Liquidity Oversight. This role is pivotal in enhancing our operational risk framework and ensuring robust management of liquidity-related risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive operational risk policies and governance frameworks to mitigate losses from ineffective internal processes and emerging threats.
  • Conduct independent risk assessments and initiate corrective actions to address persistent operational risk challenges.
  • Oversee technology-related operational risks, including cybersecurity threats, ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) collaborating with In-Business Operational Risk and Independent Risk Teams.
  • Drive initiatives for operational risk anticipation, mitigation, and recovery planning.
  • Ensure adherence to operational risk policies and provide necessary exception approvals.
  • Participate in regular Risk & Control forums to discuss and enhance risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with business units to refine risk metrics and thresholds, establishing new indicators for identifying potential risk breaches.
  • Assist in conducting assurance reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of processes and controls.
  • Work closely with regional leads on local reviews and engage with Risk Subject Matter Experts on lessons learned.
  • Conduct root cause analyses to identify issues and drive corrective measures.
  • Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and corrective action plans related to risk management.
  • Share best practices and insights through framework documentation.
  • Maintain a professional skepticism to ensure objectivity in decision-making.
  • Facilitate resolution of issues within contractual terms, escalating those requiring commercial or legal intervention.
  • Build and sustain relationships across various business units to effectively address customer needs and adapt to changes in the business landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in operational risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of TTS products is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in operational risk is essential; familiarity with audit and control disciplines is a plus.
  • Exposure to internal audit processes is advantageous.
  • Expertise in fraud awareness, risk management operations, and compliance is beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
  • Strong relationship management capabilities, with a focus on conflict resolution.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
