Job Overview

The Retail Operations Associate is responsible for the daily management of vendor products. This includes, but is not limited to, uploading product information via CSV files and linking images to product descriptions on the company website. Regular assessments of policies will be conducted to identify potential enhancements that could improve customer service and reduce operational costs. The Retail Operations Associate will collaborate closely with the management team and report directly to the President, Collette Jones. A commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization is expected.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Interaction

  • Ensure a customer-focused environment.
  • Enhance customer and vendor retention.
  • Accurately retain vendor product information received through various channels.
  • Align vendor product data with the CSV template for website uploads.
  • Evaluate data entry processes for efficiency and seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement streamlined methods for vendor product entry.
  • Manage vendor expense entries in accounting software bi-monthly.
  • Provide mentorship and training to new employees, along with performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the Owner and President in strategic meetings.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Owner and President.

Marketing & Merchandising

  • Maintain the company website with up-to-date photographs and product information.
  • Engage with external professionals for marketing initiatives.
  • Select merchandise and vendors based on sales data analysis to maximize revenue.

Administrative Duties

  • Process daily communications, including mail, phone calls, and messages from vendors and customers.
  • Coordinate supply requests with the President.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated history of career progression and professional growth.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze product data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in information technology is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of accounting software.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (word processing and spreadsheets).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer relationship management abilities.
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills.
  • Experience in maintaining organizational order in an office setting is preferred.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as necessary.
