Job Summary:

The Transportation Coordinator at MCR Hotels is responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation for hotel guests. This role requires a high level of customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the hotel's shuttle van, transporting guests to and from various destinations while ensuring a safe and efficient experience.
  • Assist guests with luggage, providing a high level of customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Provide information to guests about the hotel and surrounding area, including directions and recommendations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shuttle van, ensuring it is always in a safe and presentable condition.
  • Monitor the shuttle van's maintenance needs, reporting any issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Provide a clean and safe environment for guests, including the parking lot and common areas.
  • Clean and maintain assigned areas, including deep cleaning and setting up meeting room functions as needed.
  • Deliver service items to guest rooms upon request from the front desk.
  • Ensure efficient completion of daily assignments in a timely manner, meeting the needs of guests and the hotel.
  • Report any safety, maintenance, or housekeeping concerns to management.
  • Attend and participate in all mandatory training, staying up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
  • Be flexible with schedule and assignments, adapting to the changing needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain effective performance under pressure, providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow proper procedures for lost and found items, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Follow guest safety procedures, prioritizing the well-being and safety of guests.
  • Acknowledge and greet guests in public spaces, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Review daily inventory of supplies needed to complete assignments, ensuring the hotel is always well-stocked and prepared.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record, subject to periodic Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and with others.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and colleagues.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 35-50 pounds, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel.
