Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all phone call information and dispatching of rides, ensuring timely and efficient communication with drivers and passengers.
  • Organize and route trips based on schedule and location to optimize performance, taking into account factors such as traffic, road conditions, and driver availability.
  • Provide assistance to drivers for directions to destinations, ensuring they have the necessary information to complete their routes efficiently.
  • Assist drivers and transportation providers with problems or issues relating to scheduling, working to resolve conflicts and ensure smooth operations.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with transportation providers, ensuring they are aware of their schedules, routes, and any changes or updates.
  • Report and record all incidents to the applicable manager, providing detailed information and analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Document and report provider no shows or on-time-performance issues, working to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Inform transportation providers of their next-day trips and any new trips that occur, ensuring they have the necessary information to plan their routes and schedules.
  • Monitor radio, telephones, and on-road provision of service for quality, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Record time of departure, destination, and expected time of return, providing accurate and detailed information for tracking and analysis.
  • Provide feedback on drivers' performance, working to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for growth and development.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation routing, dispatching, and scheduling.
    • 1 year of experience working with transit scheduling systems, with a strong understanding of GPS and GIS systems.
    • Possess valid authorization to work in the United States.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with drivers, transportation providers, and other stakeholders.
    • Good organizational skills with attention to timeliness and details, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Must be able to demonstrate effective use of scheduling software, two-way radio communication, and data analysis skills.
    • Skills in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft applications.
    • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and discretion, with a strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
