The Parking and Transportation Services at the University is tasked with overseeing a significant number of parking facilities, which includes numerous garages and surface lots.

This department manages the allocation and regulation of various parking options, in addition to maintaining the overall condition of these facilities.

Purpose
This role involves overseeing daytime transportation and micromobility initiatives on campus. You will be responsible for program development, enhancement, and performance evaluation. Duties include ensuring service delivery, coordinating stakeholder engagement, maintaining regular communication, and ensuring compliance with established protocols. Customer service will be a key focus. You will lead a team or work independently to manage transportation service programs.
Responsibilities

Oversee the recruitment of new personnel, organize training sessions and monthly staff meetings, manage vehicle and equipment usage and maintenance, and provide support to staff.

Operate designated vehicles including carts, vans, and accessible transport on a regular basis. Accompany staff and users throughout service areas.

Guide the creation of new transportation initiatives, manage operational tasks, and oversee specific projects related to the position, including Carpool and Vanpool programs.

Collaborate with departmental leadership on strategic planning, program visioning, and budget oversight.

Be available during evenings and weekends as necessary to address incidents and staff needs during operations.

Respond to emergencies and adhere to departmental protocols.

Maintain a thorough understanding of all transportation policies and incident response procedures, effectively addressing and reporting incidents as they arise.

Organize and co-facilitate regular staff meetings. Act as a representative for transportation and micromobility at university and community events.
Other related duties as assigned. Weekend, holiday, and compensatory time may be required for this position as necessary.
Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree combined with a minimum of three years' experience in managing transportation programs, working in student affairs, and making complex administrative decisions.

Must demonstrate the ability to lead and support transportation and micromobility staff and volunteers (primarily student employees). Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must be capable of managing multiple projects concurrently and completing tasks efficiently. Must be self-directed and able to work independently when required.
Driving Required
This position necessitates a class "C" operator's driver's license. The selected candidate must provide a current three-year driving record from their state of residence.

If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of residency.

Salary Range
$50,000 + depending on qualifications

Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm
