The Multimedia Communications Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Texas Department of Transportation's Internal Communications team, which aims to effectively inform and engage over 13,000 employees statewide through clear and compelling messaging.

This position is centered around storytelling across various mediums including print, digital platforms, and video content.

The Coordinator will be responsible for producing content for Internal Communications initiatives and contributing to the writing and publication of articles for the agency's intranet and print materials.

The ideal candidate will also have the opportunity to write, film, and edit video segments for an internal news broadcast.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Conduct research, write, and edit content for websites, news segments, videos, and other digital formats within the Internal Communications division.
2. Film and edit video content for the agency's internal news programs.
3. Collaborate with various TxDOT divisions and districts to conduct interviews and craft stories that showcase a diverse employee base across Texas.
4. Organize and schedule interviews and video shoots with subject matter experts.
5. Produce a variety of written materials including website content, video scripts, print publications, agency-wide communications, and executive briefings.
6. Utilize project management tools to oversee the content development process from initial concept through writing, editing, approvals, and final publication.
7. Upload articles, images, and videos into content management systems.
8. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy of information.
9. Edit written and spoken content for precision, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
