We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Planning Scientist/Engineer to join our team at The Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI). As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex transportation research projects, developing innovative solutions to transportation challenges, and collaborating with stakeholders to advance transportation policy and practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage research projects, including project planning, coordination, and execution
  • Develop and implement innovative transportation solutions, including data-driven approaches and policy recommendations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and academia, to advance transportation policy and practice
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform transportation policy and decision-making
  • Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors and stakeholders to secure funding and support for research projects
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as Urban/Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, or Economics
  • At least 8 years of experience in transportation research and planning, with a strong background in data analysis and visualization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with statistical software and data visualization tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in a related field
  • 9 years of experience in transportation research and planning, with a strong background in data modeling, database design, and GIS
