Position Summary:
The Mining Project Manager will oversee the enhancement of mining operations, encompassing exploration, planning, and production phases. This role requires collaboration with a diverse team of professionals to effectively manage engineering projects. The Mining Project Manager will also be instrumental in mentoring junior engineers, leading project initiatives, and engaging in business development activities aimed at identifying new opportunities and fostering strategic partnerships.

  • Ensuring seamless integration within a multidisciplinary engineering team

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in geology, mining, geological, or civil engineering; an advanced degree in business administration is advantageous
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the mining aggregate, crushed stone, sand and gravel, cement, or consulting sectors
  • A registered professional engineer or professional geologist license, or the ability to obtain one upon hire
  • At least 5 years of project management experience
  • Experience in leadership and team management
  • Proficiency in technical report writing
  • Experience with resource and reserve evaluations under U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's S-K 1300 regulation
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial mining engineering software (e.g., Surpac, Vulcan, Carlson, Minesched, and GIS) and programming skills (e.g., TCL, Lisp, Visual Basic, and other programming languages) are preferred.
