Position Overview:

The Senior Mining Project Leader will oversee all facets of optimizing mining operations, encompassing exploration, mine planning, and production processes.

This role requires collaboration with a diverse group of professionals to manage engineering initiatives effectively.

The Senior Mining Project Leader will also be instrumental in mentoring junior engineers, steering projects, and engaging in business development activities, which include identifying new prospects, nurturing strategic alliances, and contributing to the organization's long-term growth and sustainability.

The ideal candidate will spearhead both surface and underground mining projects, guiding a team of engineers and geologists while managing multiple projects and business development efforts simultaneously.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess the following:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in geology, mining, geological, or civil engineering; an advanced degree in business administration is advantageous
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in mining aggregates, crushed stone, sand and gravel, cement, or consulting sectors
  • A registered professional engineer/professional geologist license or the ability to obtain one upon hire
  • At least 5 years of project management experience
  • Experience in leadership and team management
  • Proficiency in technical report writing
  • Resource and reserve experience in accordance with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's S-K 1300 regulation
  • Extensive familiarity with commercial mining engineering software (e.g., Surpac, Vulcan, Carlson, Minesched, and GIS) and programming skills (e.g., TCL, Lisp, Visual Basic, and other programming languages) are preferred.

Salary is commensurate with experience and expertise, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
